Abstract

Guardar el orden moral se convirtió en una obsesión para la dictadura franquista. Para ello, el régimen ejerció, de manera permanente y cambiante, un control moral que fue cotidiano, intenso y vasto. El presente texto tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre este fenómeno durante la década de los cuarenta, focalizándose en los y las jóvenes como colectivo de especial atención. Se atiende en primer lugar a la definición y caracterización de este control moral. Posteriormente, se profundiza en los espacios y momentos que constituyeron tanto objetivos prioritarios de control como oportu- nidades para la transgresión: cuáles son, por qué inquietaban o cómo los y las jóvenes localizaron y aprovecharon las fisuras. Finalmente, se ejemplifican los tres tipos de actuaciones implementadas por el franquismo: la regulación, la vigilancia y la sanción.

Maintaining moral order became an obsession for the Franco dictatorship. To this end, the regime exercised, in a permanent and changing manner, a moral control that was daily, intense and vast. The present text aims to reflect on this phenomenon during the 1940s, focusing on young people as a group of special attention. First of all, it deals with the definition and characterization of this moral control. Subsequently, we will delve into the spaces and moments that constituted both priority objectives of control and opportunities for transgression: what they were, why they were a source of concern, and how young people located and took advantage of the cracks in the regime. Finally, the three types of actions implemented by the Franco regime are exemplified: regulation, surveillance and punishment.
