Abstract

A través del viaje de Fray Diego de Ocaña se puede apreciar la introducción del culto a la Virgen de Guadalupe de Extremadura en América del Sur. En este texto se estudia el itinerario seguido por el fraile y la realidad artística de las creaciones del artista así como las derivaciones y patrimonio conservado actualmente.

Through the journey of Diego de Ocaña, we can see the introduction of the cult of the Virgin of Guadalupe from Extremadura to South America. This text examines the itinerary followed by the friar and the artistic reality of the artist's creations, as well as the derivations and heritage preserved today.
