Many are the circumstances and elements which bring new cities. Cities camps (amsãr), one of the great motors of the urban element of the History of Humanity, above al, in those societies, known as tax-mercantile where the existence of intermediate points between
large cities is strictly necessary. In this paper, we intend to make a series of reflections, as a result of our research in the
project PPJ12018.14 of the UGR and the recently completed «Pimalboran», on several aspects: how the relations between the Maghreb al-Maghreb Aqsa, that is, Morocco and part of Mauritania roday and the Biläd al-Sudán become generators and catalysts of urbanism.
How, as new trade routes take shape, the different state formations are interconnected and how the later intervene directly by occupying militarily (Umayyads in Melilla and Ceuta, Almoravids in Awdaghost...) if necessary, the strategical points for the commercial traffic towards the «Black country». Al this will be accompanied, as it cannot be otherwise with, a look at the organization of these cities and the human groups that populated them.
