CellHunter

Abstract

CellHunter: Análisis y Clasificación Automática de Microalgas Unicelulares - CellHunter es una herramienta diseñada para el análisis de imágenes en formato CZI o TIFF obtenidas, mediante microscopía óptica con cámara acoplada, de muestras de agua que contienen microalgas unicelulares. CellHunter está diseñado para realizar recuentos automáticos de células algales y su clasificación taxonómica automática mediante técnicas avanzadas de procesamiento de imágenes y redes neuronales convolucionales. Actualmente permite discriminar entre microalgas autótrofas estrictas (del género Scenedesmus) y mixotróficas (del género Cryptomonas).

CellHunter: Automatic Analysis and Classification of Unicellular Microalgae - CellHunter is a tool designed for the analysis of images in CZI or TIFF format obtained by optical microscopy with an attached camera from water samples containing unicellular microalgae. CellHunter is designed to perform automatic algal cell counting and their automatic taxonomic classification using advanced image processing techniques and convolutional neural networks. It currently allows discrimination between strictly autotrophic microalgae (of the genus Scenedesmus) and mixotrophic microalgae (of the genus Cryptomonas).
