Cultura literaria en el rock argentino: Intertextualidad entre Edgar Allan Poe y Soda Stereo en la canción “Corazón delator”

Abstract

En esta investigación se analizan, en el contexto de la cultura literaria del rock argentino, las influencias en los discursos y las relaciones intertextuales que se pueden encontrar en específico entre la canción “Corazón delator” (1988) del grupo argentino de Rock Latino Soda Stereo y el cuento “El corazón delator” (1843) de Edgar Allan Poe. Se interpreta la letra de la canción desde el punto de vista de las relaciones de amor romántico y la evolución de estas en forma diacrónica a través de los diversos cambios culturales desde el siglo XIX al XXI en occidente. Por último, se compara la figura del rockero trágico con el arquetipo del poeta ‘maldito’ en el sentido de que ambos contribuyen con una obra que explora las pasiones, las adicciones y el sufrimiento humano, y que se vio interrumpida por una muerte prematura.

This research analyzes, in the context of the literary culture of Argentine rock, the influences in the discourses and intertextual relationships that can be found specifically between the song “Corazón delator” (1988) by the Argentine Latin Rock band Soda Stereo and the short story “The Tell-Tale Heart” (1843) by Edgar Allan Poe. The lyrics of the song are interpreted from the point of view of romantic love relationships and their evolution diachronically through the various cultural changes from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century in the West. Finally, the figure of the tragic rocker is compared to the archetype of the 'cursed' poet in the sense that both contribute a body of work that explores passions, addictions and human suffering, and which was interrupted by an untimely death.
