Abstract

¿Las mujeres contribuyeron a la arquitectura del pasado? ¿Hubo mujeres arquitectas? Al igual que sus colegas varones, el mecenazgo arquitectónico ejercido por ellas podía ser una simple aportación de dinero, pero no fue nada infrecuente implicarse y dar instrucciones. En este texto hacemos un pequeño barrido por el patrimonio arquitectónico andaluz nos permite apreciar lo que se le debe a las mujeres.

Did women contribute to the architecture of the past? Were there female architects? Just like their male counterparts, women's architectural patronage could involve simply providing financial support, but it was not uncommon for them to become actively involved and give instructions. In this text, we take a brief look at Andalusia’s architectural heritage, which allows us to appreciate how much is owed to women.
