Abstract

Este libro se concibe como una herramienta para la puesta en valor de los oasis, entendiéndolos como un verdadero refugio natural, cultural y patrimonial; el cual debemos proteger y promover su desarrollo para hacerlos sostenibles y de este modo sirvan como estrategia de freno a la desertificación global. El original modelo de apropiación territorial en los oasis se verá reflejado en el día a día de sus habitantes, algo que hemos querido mostrar con esta exposición donde el manejo del agua, cultivos y tradiciones se circunscriben en torno al aguaje. Las fotografías que se presentan en esta exposición sobre el Oasis, nos acercarán al mundo oasiano, a su diversidad y potencial, haciendo de ellos espacios que aportan vida. Son espacios con una tradición cultural e histórica que no debe pasarnos desapercibida y esperamos que con esta muestra el visitante se inicie en un mundo que es a la vez complejo, diverso y apasionante.

This book is conceived as a tool for the enhancement of oases, understanding them as a true natural, cultural and heritage refuge, which we must protect and promote their development in order to make them sustainable and thus serve as a strategy to halt global desertification. The original model of territorial appropriation in the oasis will be reflected in the daily life of its inhabitants, something that we wanted to show with this exhibition where water management, crops and traditions are circumscribed around the aguaje. The photographs presented in this exhibition on the Oasis will bring us closer to the world of the Oasis, to its diversity and potential, making them spaces that bring life. These are spaces with a cultural and historical tradition that should not go unnoticed and we hope that this exhibition will introduce visitors to a world that is at once complex, diverse and exciting.
