Environmental Spanish History from 18ty to 21th Century (安东尼奥°§奥尔特加18—21 世纪的西班牙环境史)

Abstract

In the article, I first discuss how the academiccommunity in Spain deal with environmentalhistory as a discipline, and how it has beenproceeding with the advance of theenvironmental history in the world. Second, Iexamine the important changes in the relationsbetween society and environment in Spainsince the beginning of the 18th century. Threeproblems are my key concerns: evolution of theforests in the ecological system typical in thepre-industrial Medterranean region; theagricultural expansion and the historicaltransition to industrialised agriculture in the second half of 20th century; the shift in therelations between human community andnature, as well as the transformation ofagricultural systems. Finally, I elaborate thechallenges facing Spanish society in the climatechange, and its relations with EU爷sagricultural and environmental policies.

En el artículo, primero discuto cómo la comunidad académica en España trata la historia ambiental como disciplina, y cómo ha ido avanzando con la historia ambiental en el mundo. En segundo lugar, examino los cambios importantes en las relaciones entre sociedad y medio ambiente en España desde principios del siglo XVIII. Tres son los problemas que me preocupan: la evolución de los bosques en el sistema ecológico típico de la región mediterránea preindustrial; la expansión agrícola y la transición histórica a la agricultura industrializada en la segunda mitad del siglo XX; el cambio en las relaciones entre la comunidad humana y la naturaleza, así como la transformación de los sistemas agrícolas. Por último, expongo los retos a los que se enfrenta la sociedad española ante el cambio climático y sus relaciones con las políticas agraria y medioambiental de la UE.
