San Miguel de Tangarara: primera ciudad hispana en el Perú

Abstract

La fundación de San Miguel en Tangarara a orillas del río Chira en el actual centro poblado de San Miguel de Tangarara establece un cambio importante en la calidad de vida de los Tallanes. El objetivo de la investigación fue realizar un análisis documental para determinar categorías mediante teoría fundamentada de las evidencias arqueológicas que determinan la fundación del Pueblo de San Miguel en el actual centro poblado San Miguel de Tangarara, distrito de Marcavelica, provincia de Sullana, región Piura. En cuanto al enfoque de investigación fue de carácter cualitativo, bajo diseño de teoría fundamentada (TF) desarrollando la categorización y codificación del material documental relacionado a la evidencia arqueológica en San Miguel de Tangarara.

En cuanto a los resultados se determinan tres categorías: arquitectura, restos óseos y cerámicas que son elementos que indican la presencia de la cultura Tallan en el territorio. Por tanto, se puede determinar que la primera ciudad española se fundó en el territorio del cacique Tangarara en el actual centro poblado San Miguel de Tangarara, distrito de Marcavelica, provincia de Sullana.

The founding of San Miguel in Tangarara on the banks of the Chira River in the current town of San Miguel de Tangarara established an important change in the quality of life of the Tallanes. The objective of the research was to carry out a documentary analysis to determine categories through grounded theory of the archaeological evidence that determine the founding of the town of San Miguel in the current town of San Miguel de Tangarara, district of Marcavelica, province of Sullana, Piura region. Regarding the research approach, it was qualitative, under a grounded theory (TF) design, developing the categorization and coding of the documentary material related to the archaeological evidence in San Miguel de Tangarara.

Regarding the results, three categories are determined: architecture, bone remains and ceramics, which are elements that indicate the presence of the Tallanes culture in the territory. Therefore, it can be determined that the first Spanish city was founded in the territory of the chief Tangarara in the current town of San Miguel de Tangarara, district of Marcavelica, province of Sullana.
