Abstract

Este cuaderno docente, tercero de una serie de seis dedicados a la asignatura Ideación Gráfica e Introducción al Proyecto Arquitectónico (IGA), continúa la línea metodológica que articula Expresión Gráfica y Proyectos Arquitectónicos en un entorno de taller experimental. En esta edición, el análisis se centra en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Granada, una obra representativa de la arquitectura institucional del siglo XX y ejemplo de integración entre funcionalidad, racionalidad constructiva y modernidad. A través de su estudio, el estudiante se aproxima a las relaciones entre ciencia, espacio y técnica, explorando cómo la arquitectura puede responder a las exigencias del conocimiento contemporáneo sin renunciar a un lenguaje propio. El cuaderno mantiene su estructura flexible y adaptativa, pensada para ajustarse a los contextos específicos de cada curso. Su formato A3 y enfoque gráfico fomentan el dibujo, la reflexión y la experimentación como herramientas activas de aprendizaje. Además de establecer un canal de comunicación entre profesor y alumno, actúa como soporte bibliográfico que vincula la enseñanza con el análisis crítico del patrimonio edificado. Este volumen se reafirma así como una herramienta pedagógica abierta, replicable y comprometida con la comprensión arquitectónica desde la experiencia directa.

This teaching notebook, the third in a series of six dedicated to the subject Graphic Ideation and Introduction to Architectural Design (IGA), continues the methodological approach that links Graphic Expression and Architectural Design within an experimental studio environment. In this edition, the focus is on the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Granada, a representative work of 20th-century institutional architecture and an example of the integration of functionality, constructive rationality, and modernity. Through its study, students explore the relationships between science, space, and technique, examining how architecture can respond to the demands of contemporary knowledge without abandoning its own language. The notebook maintains its flexible and adaptive structure, designed to adjust to the specific contexts of each course. Its A3 format and graphic-based approach promote drawing, reflection, and experimentation as active learning tools. In addition to serving as a communication channel between teacher and student, it functions as a bibliographic resource that links teaching with critical analysis of the built heritage. This volume thus reaffirms itself as an open, replicable pedagogical tool committed to architectural understanding through direct experience.
