La lucha contra las actividades de los paraísos fiscales se enfrenta al verdadero rol que los centros financieros extraterritoriales juegan en las finanzas internacionales, y más bien representa una lucha entre la hegemonía de unos contra otros. En este sentido resulta fundamental analizar el papel de las antiguas dependencias británicas en la internacionalización del más importante centro financiero mundial, la City de Londres.

The fight against the activities of tax havens confronts the real role that offshore financial centres play in international finance and rather represents a struggle between the hegemony of one against the other. In this sense, it is crucial to analyse the role of former British dependencies in the internationalisation of the world's most important financial centre, the City of London.
