El fin de la historia del siglo XX del folclore musical argentino: el surgimiento del folclore joven

Abstract

Este trabajo aborda el surgimiento del folclore joven argentino en la década de los noventa del siglo pasado. Se sostiene como hipótesis principal que es posible delimitar como fin de la historia del siglo XX del folclore musical la emergencia de este fenómeno. En primer lugar, se presenta una ajustada síntesis de la historia del folclore en la Argentina durante el siglo XX. En segundo lugar, se describe y analiza el folclore joven a través de sus características más distintivas. En tercer lugar, se examina el lugar del folclore joven en la escena musical folclórica. Por último, el foco está puesto en el concepto de juventud y su relación con esta música en particular.

The emergence of the young Argentinean folklore in the nineties of the past century is the subject of this paper. The main hypothesis is that the emergence of this phenomenon marks the end of the history of twentieth century folk music. Firstly, the history of Argentinean folk music in the twentieth century is summarized. Secondly, the description and analysis of the main characteristics of young folklore is presented. Thirdly, its place within the folk music scene is examined. Finally, there is a consideration of the concept of youth and, in particular, to this music.
