Il De oratione Dominica di Gregorio di Nissa ed i commenti esegetici previi: uno studio comparativo

Abstract

L’analisi condotta a partire dalla traduzione del De oratione dominica, trattato esegetico appartenente alla fase più matura del cappadoce Gregorio di Nissa, ha messo in risalto quanto sia determinante la tradizione patristica anteriore per la stesura del commento. Tuttavia, è lo sfondo filosofico platonico e neoplatonico a farne da padrone, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la terminologia utilizzata. Lemmi come εὐχή, προσευχή e ὁμιλία, infatti, risentono della profonda influenza che il patrimonio letterario classico e, in particolar modo, quello platonico, ha esercitato sullo scrittore.

The analysis carried out from the translation of the De oratione dominica, an exegetical treatise which belongs to the most mature phase of the Cappadocian Gregory of Nyssa, emphasized the importance of the earlier patristic tradition for the redaction of the commentary. However, the Platonic and Neoplatonic philosophical background dominates it, especially with regard to the terminology used. Terms like εὐχή, προσευχή and ὁμιλία are reminiscent of the deep influence that the classical literary heritage and, in particular, the Platonic background exerted on the writer.
