Resumen
The book introduces the first book of Isaac Israeli's Book of Fevers, called The Book of the Definition of Fever and its Essence. It brings together the edition of all the medieval versions, together with an English translation based on one of the Hebrew versions, which includes the variants of the other editions. It is accompanied by a study of the medical and philosophical lexicon of the work and a detailed study of the life and work of the author and the content of the text, which is an extraordinary testimony of the relationship between medicine and philosophy in medieval culture.
