La expansión comercial de dispositivos que ofrecen productos celulares omitiendo el control de la Administración Sanitaria, aconseja extremar la atención a estos aspectos legislativos.; This manuscript is centered on novel aspects of the legislation on “Cell Therapy” through the case of a patient who underwent intrarticular treatment with an uncharacterized cellular product from which complications arose. It aims to alert the medical community that could act outside the regulations concerning advanced therapies, implying a risk of iatrogenic actions and consequent litigation processes. Dentro de la localización de cabeza y cuello, la presentación a nivel nasal y de senos paranasales es la más habitual, siendo excepcional la manifestación clínica de la mucormicosis a nivel de oído. Las cifras revelan una elevada mortalidad a pesar del tratamiento antifúngico y quirúrgico, debido a su carácter agresivo y por su rápida extensión orbitaria y cerebral Presentamos un caso de una paciente diagnosticada de otitis externa maligna por mucor con parálisis facial, siendo la primera manifestación de su diabetes y que evolucionó favorablemente tras cirugía, tratamiento con anfotericina B y con control exhaustivo de la glucemia.; Mucormycosis is an angioinvasive opportunistic fungal infection, produced by the Mucorales, which occurs mainly in diabetic and immunocompromised patients and can affect any organ or tissue. Within the location of the head and neck, the presentation at the nasal and paranasal sinuses is the most common, the clinical manifestation of mucormycosis at the ear level being exceptional. The figures reveal a high mortality despite antifungal and surgical treatment, due to its aggressive nature and its rapid orbital and cerebral extension. El estudio histopatológico mostró una proliferación neoplásica melanocítica caracterizada por una proliferación vascular en la base de la lesión con células invasivas de melanoma positivas para Melan-A. El paciente fue sometido a una escisión y una esclerotomia superficial. No se evidenciaron signos de recurrencia después de 12 meses de seguimiento. Sin embargo, es necesario realizer un seguimiento a más largo para mayor seguridad.; A 73-year-old male presented with a pigmented nodular lesion in the inferonasal bulbar conjunctiva. Histopathological examination revealed a neoplastic melanocytic proliferation. This was characterized by vessel proliferation within the base of the lesion and invasive melanoma cells, positive for Melan-A. The patient underwent a dry “no touch” excision and a superficial sclerectomy. There were no signs of recurrence after 12 months of follow-up. En este caso clínico se revisa la clínica más frecuentemente asociada a esta patología, el diagnóstico y las complicaciones derivadas de su tratamiento, destacando la necesidad de un diagnóstico precoz. El médico de urgencias debe estar familiarizado con esta enfermedad, considerándola en el diagnóstico diferencial de todo aquel paciente que consulte por dolor torácico.; We present a case of chest pain associated with lower limbs weakness secondary to acute aortic dissection, an uncommon illness, that can debut in various ways presenting a high morbimortality. In this case we review the most common symptoms associated to this clinical entity, its diagnosis and complications related to its treatment, underlining the importance of an early diagnosis. Estos tumores derivan del estroma-cordones sexuales del ovario, tienen una escasa incidencia y presentan un comportamiento benigno. Se revisa la literatura disponible hasta el momento, dada la importancia del adecuado diagnóstico diferencial.; We present the case of a stromal ovarian sclerosing tumor in a woman of the third decade of life.
