Análisis del subtitulado de un episodio de La Casa de Papel Zainab Ceña, Fayze This final degree project focuses on the field of audiovisual translation, on the subtitling modality. The aim of this investigation is to analyze the translation of cultural references into Arabic in the official Netflix subtitling of the Spanish series La Casa de Papel (Pina, 2017). To do this, an episode of the aforementioned series will be analyzed in order to find out how the translation techniques used affect the transmission of cultural references from Spanish to Arabic. Initially, in the theoretical framework, the most relevant aspects of audiovisual translation and subtitling will be explained. Likewise, the cultural references and the translation techniques used to transfer them from one language to another will be addressed. Subsequently, in the practical framework, we will proceed to the analysis and discussion of the translation of the cultural references found in that episode. Experiencias en TEAB y debate Robinson Fryer, Bryan John Tras la crisis del Covid-19, en educación universitaria, uno de los cambios radicales en la docencia será el uso habitual de métodos y medios de evaluación en línea. En el campo de la Traducción esto se ve más complicado por la naturaleza de nuestras prácticas de evaluación. Solemos buscar un texto y pedimos a todos los alumnos una traducción del mismo; evidentemente la tasa de coincidencias puede llegar a ser muy alta. Si a esto añadimos la práctica común de formar a los estudiantes en trabajo en equipo, tenemos grandes posibilidades de tasas de coincidencias altísimas. En esta presentación exponemos algunos resultados del uso de la plataforma anti-plagio Turnitin en la enseñanza de Traducción especializada A-B (Inglés) y debatimos acerca de los pasos que podemos/debemos tomar en nuestro futuro más inmediato.; In the wake of the Covid-19 crisis, in tertiary education, one of the most radical changes in teaching will be the everyday use of methods and means of online assessment. In Translation studies this looks to be even more complicated due to the nature of our standard assessment practices. We usually find a text and ask all of our students to translate it; clearly the match rate could be very high. If we also consider the fact that training in teamwork is commonplace, it is highly likely we will achieve extremely high match rates. In this presentation we look at some results of using the anti-plagiarism platform Turnitin in teach Specialized translation A-B (Spanish into English) and debate the steps we can/should take in the immediate future. https://hdl.handle.net/10481/62438
