A partir de la revisión de la literatura científica relativa a esta cuestión y utilizando una metodología con un doble enfoque cualitativo-cuantitativo, se definen un conjunto de criterios y subcriterios que conforman el checklist. Los indicadores de calidad son los siguientes: 1) calidad del contenido, 2) objetivos y metas de aprendizaje, 3) feedback, 4) usabilidad, 5) motivación, 6) accesibilidad, 7) requerimientos técnicos, 8) propiedad intelectual, y 9) efectividad del recurso desde el punto de vista del aprendizaje. El instrumento permite la evaluación de los recursos y genera un informe con la valoración de la calidad de los mismos y recomendaciones sobre su mejora. Se encuentra disponible en un portal web que proporciona además un repositorio de OCW evaluados de universidades españolas, una selección bibliográfica especializada e información relativa al desarrollo del proyecto.; The aim of this paper is to present the development of the Evaluareed instrument, designed to evaluate electronic educational resources, especially those oriented to higher education. From a review of the relevant scientific literature and using a qualitative-quantitative methodology, a set of criteria and sub-criteria are defined. En primer lugar, se define la fotografía científica, su público y los condicionantes de su análisis. En segundo lugar, se destaca la importancia del texto acompañando las fotografías para su recuperación. En tercer lugar, se describen los modelos de Lasswell, de Panofsky y Shatford y la semiología para el análisis de las fotografías, antes de detallar el método seguido para el análisis de contenido. Por último, se presenta la funcionalidad de la plantilla para la redacción de un resumen y asignación de descriptores. Se concluye destacando su interés para encontrar las pistas informativas transmitidas por las fotografías y la necesaria colaboración entre fotógrafo y documentalista.; This article proposes a pattern to analyse the content of scientific photographs. In a first part, it defines scientific photographs, its public and its analysis. In a second part, it deals with the importance of the text which encloses the photographs to be retrieved. In a third part, it describes the Lasswell model, the Panofsky and Shatford models, and the semiology. The method followed to analyse photographs is then detailed. In a fourth part, it stresses how useful is the pattern statistically to write an abstract and to assign keywords, before it concludes about the importance to detect the informative clues transmitted by the photographer and the necessary collaboration between photographer and information professional. https://hdl.handle.net/10481/34788 https://hdl.handle.net/10481/21690 An educational resource for information literacy in higher education: visibility and usability of the e-COMS academic portal Pinto Molina, María; Doucet, Anne-Vinciane As in today’s knowledge society the Internet is playing an important role in the information literacy of university students the goal of this paper is to analyse, after its first year on the Web, the informational impact of an e-learning resource developed by Granada’s University lecturers (the e-COMS educational portal), a pioneer in Spain for training in information literacy. From the objective and subjective data provided by the own portal and by it users, two different and complementary kinds of analysis (functional and users’) are performed. Assessment of various capabilities, among which visibility and usability stand out, is provided. The highly positive but improvable results offer a detailed analysis of the functional aspects of the portal itself and of the users’ relations with this information resource. Because competencies are the key factor in higher education, the paper analyses the role of concept maps as a tool to diagnose and improve information analysis, synthesis, organisation and representation skills and competencies. We propose a methodology that enables these skills to be evaluated by observing, analysing and measuring the stages involved in creating a concept map: identification of the main and secondary subjects; subject codification by concepts; grading of concepts; and representation of the concepts and their relationships with labels. A case study using action-research methodology tests the usefulness of the methodology on a group of university students of Library and Information Science. The method proposed provides information on the strengths and weaknesses of the students’ skills analysed, thus enabling their training to be improved by means of specific actions. https://hdl.handle.net/10481/21680
