This mixed-methodology research aims to describe the multilingual reality of first-year students in the context of Melilla (University of Granada), among whose sociolinguistic variables is bilingualism since their mother tongue is Tamazight (Arabic dialect of the Rif area of Morocco) and Spanish, as a second language (L2). According to the CEFR, university students must have the ability to speak more than one language to promote the transmission of knowledge and research, and thus consolidate multilingual higher education. The data obtained determine that there is a multilingual profile, although they do not achieve sufficient communicative competence in a foreign language to become independent users.

This work demonstrates that the lack of reading comprehension of common social communication texts is a problem that affects a high percentage of citizens, even after having completed the mandatory educational stages. The serious thing is that many of these texts have great relevance and the situation can limit the well-being and quality of life of individuals, such as the package inserts for medications.

The objective of this work is to analyze a filmic text to understand the relationships between cinema and culture expressed in gastronomy and food.
For this we will analyze from an empirical-analytical perspective the film Tampopo (1985) directed by Juzo Itami and that reflects the different categories in which the so-called gastronomic cinema is divided, as well as the use of examples from other films that can also be understood as gastronomic, in an attempt to understand if this genre really exists or simply the cinema has used gastronomy as a common thread and without a real intention to reflect the culture of a particular place in it´s gastronomic forms.

Reading is essential in our daily lives to be able to develop as individuals in the societies in which we live, being relevant its learning at early ages. However, not only the teacher is the driving force behind this learning process, but also the family. The aim of this study is to find out about the attitudes and habits that families have regarding the process of learning reading literacy skills, that is, to know about their involvement degree in this process, as well as how much the latter affects to this learning process. To this end, the study was conducted through an ad hoc online questionnaire sent to 101 families with the help of the schools of their children. The results indicate that both the attitudes and the habits of the families are very appropriate, and there is a strong positive relationship between the two. Nonetheless, attitudes appear in a higher rate among the responses of parents. For this reason, it is still necessary to develop informative or training actions so that families are more aware of
the effect of their involvement in their children’s process of learning to read. Furthermore, these training actions aimed at families can also be a way of improving their reading habits at home
