Este estudio tiene como objetivos principales estudiar el nivel de conocimiento existente en la población general sobre el desarrollo evolutivo infantil y analizar la demanda social sobre dicho conocimiento. Para ello se ha aplicado, en una muestra de 620 ciudadanos de Melilla, un cuestionario que evalúa el nivel de conocimiento concreto sobre las edades en las que los niños adquieren la habilidad para llevar a cabo un comportamiento determinado. Se ha analizado en qué medida el género, el nivel de formación o la experiencia como padres influyen en el conocimiento sobre el desarrollo infantil. Además, también se ha determinado la demanda que los participantes en este estudio muestran sobre dicho conocimiento. Se han identificado cuáles son las principales fuentes de información sobre esta área, así como la satisfacción de los participantes con cada una de ellas. Respecto al género, los resultados indican que las mujeres presentan mayor conocimiento que los hombres sobre el desarrollo infantil en la mayoría de las cuestiones evaluadas. También los participantes con un nivel de formación más alto presentan, en general, un mejor conocimiento sobre el desarrollo evolutivo infantil. Sin embargo, los resultados obtenidos en la comparación de la variable experiencia no son tan claros. Por otra parte, el nivel de interés manifestado por adquirir más conocimientos sobre el desarrollo evolutivo infantil es alto. Los principales medios para obtener este tipo de información son, por orden de preferencia o interés así como grado de satisfacción, los libros especializados, la televisión, las revistas especializadas e Internet.; This papers’ principal aim is to explore the level of knowledge of the general population concerning&#13;
the evolutive development of children, and to analyze the social request of this knowledge. Thus, a&#13;
questionnaire that assesses the level of knowledge about the specific ages at which children acquire&#13;
the ability to carry out a determined behaviour has been implemented on 620 citizens from Melilla.&#13;
The study analyzes to what extent gender, education level or the experience of the parents influence&#13;
the knowledge of children development. Furthermore, it has been determined the level request that&#13;
participants have about this specific knowledge. The main information sources about this topic have&#13;
been identified, as well as participants’ satisfaction with each of the topics. Regarding gender, results&#13;
show that women know more than men about child development in most of the evaluated matters.&#13;
Participants with a higher education level also present, in general, a wider knowledge on the evolutive&#13;
development of children. However, the results obtained in the comparison of the variable were not&#13;
so clear. On the other hand, the interest level on acquiring more information about the evolutive&#13;
development of children is high. The main sources to obtain this type of information are, in order of&#13;
preference, interest and degree of satisfaction, the specialized books, television, specialized journals and&#13;
Internet.

Contexts of use of Spanish and Amazigh, attitudes and perceptions of bilingual university students of Berber origin. In language contact situations, bilingual speakers decide which language to use depending on their context. The aim of this study is to discover the contexts of use of Spanish and the Berber language (Amazigh) in a Spanish city with a significant bilingual population, and to find out the attitudes and perceptions that participants have about the use of Amazigh. There are 156 Spanish-Amazige bilingual university students from the University of Granada at the Melilla Campus. After the implementation of a questionnaire designed ad hoc, in this empirical-analytical quantitative research, the results point to the flexible use of the main languages of the city, among which Spanish stands out first, and then both languages in a similar way. The exclusive use of Amazigh is lost even in the most familiar contexts and in the Berber culture itself. Attitudes and perceptions about the use of Amazigh are positive, but to a low degree.; En situaciones de lenguas en contacto los hablantes bilingües deciden cuál usar dependiendo del contexto. El objetivo de este estudio es descubrir los contextos de uso del español y la lengua bereber&#13;

<summary type="text">“The Mysterious Disappearance”: assessment of a sustainabilitythemed virtual educational escape room in higher education
González Muñoz, Enrique; Gallardo Vigil, Miguel Ángel; Gutiérrez Pérez, José
Purpose&#13;
In this study, we assessed the educational value and efficacy of a virtual educational escape room (VEER), called “The Mysterious Disappearance”, for training pre-service teachers.&#13;
&#13;
Design/methodology/approach&#13;
“The Mysterious Disappearance” was developed ad hoc and contains various activities and puzzles focussing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research will evaluate the design quality and satisfaction of 193 participants regarding the VEER, their perceptions of game-based learning (GBL) and analyse which soft skills are most used and which valence typology (positive/pleasant or negative/unpleasant emotions) has the greatest impact on players’ experience. Descriptive, exploratory factor and inferential analyses are employed.&#13;
&#13;
Findings&#13;
The study indicates that the VEER is rated very positively by pre-service teachers. Overall satisfaction levels are high, and the resource and methodology are perceived as favourable. The design quality of the resource is also well rated, with participants perceiving it as a challenging but engaging and well-balanced. Participation in the VEER shows several benefits, especially in cognitive and motivational areas. The participants demonstrated high levels of soft skills utilisation. The resource elicits predominantly positive and pleasurable emotions. Finally, there is a positive perception towards GBL among pre-service teachers, both as students and future teachers.&#13;
&#13;
Originality/value&#13;
This study employs a multivariate analysis, using a questionnaire comprising three scales. This study’s dual focus on participants’ perceptions, as current Students and Future teachers, provides insights into their potential role as designers/implementers. Findings contribute to the ongoing development of academic hypotheses, particularly by highlighting the increased motivation linked to VEER use and its positive impact on learning. Designed with the SDG framework, the game enhances teachers' engagement with the 2030 Agenda, supporting their professional development and promotes values related to sustainability. The VEER was developed ad hoc by one of the authors, and the study has potential implications for numerous fields and areas of research.

Jiménez Jiménez, María de los Ángeles; Segura Robles, Adrián; Rico Martín, Ana María
The cultural and linguistic diversity that characterises our current society has led to different ways of considering languages and their status in their respective communities of use. Nowadays, not only the dominant language prevails, but other languages that characterise any social group are also increasingly taken into account, and there are studies on how they can influence the learning of the set of languages that a person uses in his or her context, and even in the teaching and learning process in general. Among these languages that represent the identity of that individual, we can find those of heritage. This paper represents the first bibliometric study on heritage and minority languages, and their connection with learning. The study period spans from the first paper published in 1989 until today, using SciMAT, software developed for longitudinal scientific mapping analysis, so this research contributes to reduce the existing gap in the scientific literature, and offers a starting point for the study of this topic. As much as 1341 research publications from the Web of Science dealing with this issue were processed and analysed. Following a bibliometric analysis, as well as the thematic and conceptual evolution of these publications, the results show a growing scientific interest in the topic from 2018, with the USA being the country with the highest production. Research was mainly carried out at&#13;
universities, and the predominant research areas are Linguistics, Education and Psychology. Likewise, among the most productive authors, Silvina Montrul stands out. Finally, the main topics of interest for the scientific community are bilingualism and multilingualism, followed by maintenance of heritage languages and their speakers.

The use of audiovisual materials for language teaching generates student learning motivation and results that are worthy of study, which is especially the case when teaching the Movida madrileña (the Madrid Scene) of the 1980s through the music and film that arose out of it. With the aim of proving the effectiveness of these materials for learning linguistic and cultural contents about this phenomenon, the results of a teaching proposal for the Spanish language classroom in a US centre of higher education are analised. Our research was a quasi-experimental study with 67 students as an experimental group and 80 students as a control group. An ad hoc questionnaire with pre-test and post-test was used to evaluate the sociocultural, linguistic and communicative knowledge acquired after the didactic intervention in which authentic materials were employed in the experimental group. The main results from applying descriptive and inferential statistics revealed a very important difference in the two dimensions of the questionnaire (linguistic and cultural) between the two groups, in which the experimental group tripled their own global score. According to the experimental group’s socio-demographic variables, in terms of gender, women stand out in the cultural dimension; with respect to cultural origin, no significant differences exist between the groups.
