Torres Salinas, Daniel; Arroyo-Machado, Wenceslao
In an institutional context and at a professional level, one of our main tasks is to carry out bibliometric reports. These studies are essential because they are used by managers to make decisions (distribution of funds, recruitment of personnel, planning of research lines, etc.). In this talk we will explain how to make a global bibliometric report of an institution, we use as a case study the University of Granada. We focus on these topics: 1) General considerations: target, selection of indicators, objectives, etc.); 2) what sources of information can be used; 3) How to contextualize and interpret the indicators; 4) How to compare the results with other institutions (Benchmarking); 5) How to make graphs and tables; and 6) Dissemination of results and data.

ales a estudiantado y
gitales y multimedia.; The advances from an interdisciplinary project currently under development are described.
The project focuses on the innovation on Social Sciences university s
tudents’ and teachers’ information
competencies, and its purpose is to create subject
-
based blended learning programs that would
enhance mobile technologies. This project got a grant from the national Spanish Research, Development
and Innovation Plan, focu
sed on society challenges for their development between 2017 and 2019. The
project’s research follows a previous project (2011
-
16) devoted to the assessment of Social Sciences
students’ information competencies and produced the questionnaires IL
-
HUMASS and
EVALCI. This new
project proposes three action lines: 1) Diagnosis of teachers’ perceptions regarding their own
information competence (INFOLIT) levels and their students’. 2) Design and development of an
integrative model for the acquisition and assessme
nt of Information Competences for university
students and teachers; and 3) Development of disciplinary programs, as support and integrative tools of
the overall project. The research methodology we are developing is qualitative
-
quantitative, adapting to
ea
ch research aim. Thus, we use self
-
assessment as well as group interviews, both with teachers and
students, in order to get to know the learning customs, methodologies, strategies, initiatives and best
practices. From the synthesis of teachers’ and student
s’ viewpoints we will develop learning tools that
could be personalized by means of an integrative, structural and flexible model on information
competences, including specific tutorials for each discipline dealt with in the research, and the
appropriate a
pplications for smartphones, focused on digital and multimedia contents.

The aim is to analyze the discussion in those detected communities that are composed by various social media, the so-called multi-social communities. As a result of this methodology, it has been possible to detect that these communities focus their attention on the same topics and that it is different from the general overview of social media with more presence in them.

This poster presents the indicators of a patentometric study of Spanish nanotechnology [1] that was presented in a Nanotech Event [2]. The analysis was conducted for the years 2004 to 2014 and the search strategy was based on keywords of a established query [3] and relevant patent classifications. As a patent data source the database Espacenet-Worldwide from the European Patent Office was used since a previous study from the authors showed that it provided the best data coverage for the purpose of the study [4]. More than 3400 patent records with Spanish authorship were retrieved and after an exhaustive data harmonization process a patentometric analysis was performed using the software tool Matheo Patent. For a patent/paper comparison furthermore scientific article data was retrieved from Scopus. Subsequently several indicators were generated which we grouped into the following types: Performance Indicators, Technology network indicators, Collaboration indicators and Patent value indicators.
