In this work, we establish minimal extensions of the Standard Model that allow for such processes. Namely, we consider models containing a new (leptophobic) neutral gauge boson Z' and two scalar singlets, plus extra matter required to cancel the U(1)' anomalies. Our analysis shows that, depending on the model and benchmark scenario, the expected statistical significance of stealth boson signals (yet uncovered by current searches at the Large Hadron Collider) is up to nine times larger than for the most sensitive of the standard leptophobic Z' signals such as dijets, tt pairs or dibosons. These results provide strong motivation for model-independent searches that cover these complex signals.}, organization = {AHEP group at IFIC/CSIC (Valencia)}, organization = {Theoretical Physics Department of the University of Valencia}, organization = {Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT, Portugal) through the projects CFTP-FCT Unit 777 (UID/FIS/00777/2013), CERN/FIS-PAR/0004/2017 and PTDC/FIS-PAR/29436/2017, which are partly funded through POCTI (FEDER), COMPETE, QREN and EU}, organization = {Spanish Agencia Estatal de Investigacion through the grant 'IFT Centro de Excelencia Severo Ochoa SEV-2016-0597'}, organization = {MINECO project FPA 2013-47836-C3-2-P (including ERDF)}, publisher = {MDPI}, keywords = {Beyond Standard Model}, keywords = {Gauge Symmetry}, title = {The minimal stealth boson: models and benchmarks}, doi = {10.1007/JHEP10(2019)237}, author = {Aguilar Saavedra, Juan Antonio and Joaquim, F.
