An excess in the eμ invariant mass spectrum near the Z boson mass would be a striking signature of new physics. No excess is observed, and an upper limit B(Z→eμ)<2.62×10−7 is placed on the branching fraction at 95% confidence level, which is the most stringent limit to date.}, organization = {CERN}, organization = {MICINN}, organization = {COST}, organization = {ERC}, organization = {ERDF}, organization = {Horizon 2020}, organization = {Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions}, organization = {La Caixa Banking Foundation}, organization = {CERCA Programme Generalitat de Catalunya}, organization = {PROMETEO and GenT Programmes Generalitat Valenciana}, publisher = {American Physical Society}, title = {Search for the charged-lepton-flavor-violating decay Z→eμ in pp collisions at √s=13  TeV with the ATLAS detector}, doi = {10.1103/PhysRevD.108.032015}, author = {Aad, Georges and Aguilar Saavedra, Juan Antonio and Rodríguez Chala, Mikael and Atlas Collaboration, /}, }
