abstract = {En 2015, la escritora y editora Léonora Miano
publicó una obra colectiva compuesta por doce
relatos breves (nouvelles) escritos por mujeres
de origen africano y antillano, titulada Volcaniques,
une anthologie du plaisir cuyo hilo
conductor es la expresión de la sensualidad y
de la sexualidad femenina. La nouvelle, género
por el que se define a cada uno de los textos,
tanto en la portada del libro como en el prefacio
firmado por la propia Miano, es la forma
preferida para expresar el placer femenino, una
experiencia que aparece fragmentada en tantas
voces y puntos de vista como mujeres lo relatan.
En este artículo realizamos un breve panorama
sobre las características de la nouvelle como
género breve y analizamos su idoneidad para
la expresión de una experiencia culturalmente
considerada tabú. Además, ilustramos, mediante
el estudio de algunas de las nouvelles de la
antología dichas características.},

published a collective work composed of twelve
short stories (nouvelles) written by women
of African and West Indian origin, entitled
Volcaniques, une anthologie du plaisir whose
common thread is the expression of female sensuality
and sexuality. The nouvelle, the genre
by which each of the texts is defined, both on
the cover of the book and in the preface signed
by Miano herself, is the preferred way of expressing
female pleasure, an experience that appears
fragmented in as many voices and points
of view as there are women who narrate it. In
this article we provide a brief overview of the
characteristics of the nouvelle as a short genre
and analyze its suitability for the expression
of an experience that is culturally considered
taboo. Furthermore, we illustrate these characteristics
through the study of some of the nouvelles
in the anthology.},
