abstract = {Para Israel, la Torá y Jerusalén son las coordenadas que sitúan su realidad como pueblo en el concierto histórico internacional. Ambas lo definen y precisan como un grupo social único cuya influencia ha marcado la actitud de la cultura europea ante el mundo, así como su modo de comprenderlo, desde los albores de la Edad Media a nuestros días. Esta visión se traduce en textos y documentos y se materializa visualmente en diferentes formas artísticas. Las formas de este arte judío expresan una peculiar manera de sentir las relaciones entre ser humano, naturaleza y divinidad. La relación de Israel con lo sagrado es un hecho histórico que varía y se hace con el tiempo. El significado de determinados símbolos, como Jerusalén, se redefine a tenor de las circunstancias históricas y geográficas. Israel puede vivir en el exilio y sin necesidad de un templo donde realizar sacrificios, pero su presencia simbólica en la vida de la comunidad abarca desde el sentimentalismo medieval a la urgencia sionista moderna y contemporánea.},
abstract = {For Israel, the Torah and Jerusalem are the coordinates that situate its reality as a people in the international historical concert. Both define and define it as a unique social group whose influence has shaped European culture's attitude to and understanding of the world from the dawn of the Middle Ages to the present day. This vision is translated into texts and documents and materialised visually in different artistic forms. The forms of this Jewish art express a peculiar way of feeling the relationship between human beings, nature and divinity. Israel's relationship with the sacred is a historical fact that varies and develops over time. The meaning of certain symbols, such as Jerusalem, is redefined according to historical and geographical circumstances. Israel may live in exile and without the need for a temple to perform sacrifices, but its symbolic presence in the life of the community ranges from medieval sentimentality to modern and contemporary Zionist urgency.},
