The search is performed using final states with exactly three charged light leptons (electrons or muons) and is based on p s = 13TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN during the years 2015–2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb−1. A profile-likelihood fit to the event yields in multiple regions corresponding to positive and negative differences between the pseudorapidities of the charged leptons from top-quark and top-antiquark decays is used to extract the charge asymmetry. At reconstruction level, the asymmetry is found to be −0.12 ± 0.14 (stat.) ±0.05 (syst.). An unfolding procedure is applied to convert the result at reconstruction level into a charge-asymmetry value in a fiducial volume at particle level with the result of −0.11 ± 0.17 (stat.) ±0.05 (syst.). The Standard Model expectations for these two observables are calculated using Monte Carlo simulations with next-to-leading-order plus parton shower precision in quantum chromodynamics and including next-to-leading-order electroweak corrections. They are −0.084 +0.005 −0.003 (scale) ±0.006 (MC stat.) and −0.063 +0.007 −0.004 (scale) ±0.004 (MC stat.) respectively, and in agreement with the measurements.}, organization = {CERN}, organization = {ANPCyT}, organization = {YerPhI, Armenia}, organization = {Australian Research Council}, organization = {BMWFW}, organization = {Austrian Science Fund (FWF)}, organization = {Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS)}, organization = {SSTC, Belarus}, organization = {Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnologico (CNPQ)}, organization = {Fundacao de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Sao Paulo (FAPESP)}, organization = {Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)}, organization = {Canada Foundation for Innovation}, organization = {National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)}, organization = {MEYS CR, Czech Republic}, organization = {DNRF}, organization = {Danish Natural Science Research Council}, organization = {Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)}, organization = {CEA-DRF/IRFU, France}, organization = {Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF)}, organization = {Max Planck Society}, organization = {RGC and Hong Kong SAR, China}, organization = {Israel Science Foundation}, organization = {Benoziyo Center, Israel}, organization = {Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN)}, organization = {Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT)}, organization = {Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT) Japan Society for the Promotion of Science}, organization = {CNRST, Morocco; NWO, Netherlands}, organization = {RCN, Norway}, organization = {MEiN, Poland}, organization = {Fundacao para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia (FCT)}, organization = {MNE/IFA, Romania}, organization = {NRC KI, Russian Federation}, organization = {Ministry of Education, Science & Technological Development, Serbia}, organization = {MSSR, Slovakia}, organization = {Slovenian Research Agency - Slovenia}, organization = {MIZS, Slovenia}, organization = {Spanish Government}, organization = {SRC}, organization = {Wallenberg Foundation, Sweden}, organization = {Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)}, organization = {Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan}, organization = {UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC)}, organization = {United States Department of Energy (DOE)}, organization = {National Science Foundation (NSF)}, organization = {BCKDF}, organization = {CANARIE}, organization = {CRC, Canada}, organization = {COST, ERC}, organization = {European Union (EU)}, organization = {European Union (EU) Marie Curie Actions}, organization = {Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR)}, organization = {German Research Foundation (DFG)}, organization = {Alexander von Humboldt Foundation}, organization = {Greek NSRF, Greece}, organization = {BSF-NSF}, organization = {German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development}, organization = {Norwegian Financial Mechanism}, organization = {NCN}, organization = {La Caixa Foundation}, organization = {CERCA Programme Generalitat de Catalunya}, organization = {PROMETEO}, organization = {Center for Forestry Research & Experimentation (CIEF)}, organization = {Goran Gustafssons Stiftelse, Sweden}, organization = {Royal Society}, organization = {Leverhulme Trust}, organization = {NDGF (Denmark, Norway, Sweden)}, organization = {KIT/GridKA (Germany)}, organization = {INFN-CNAF (Italy)}, organization = {NL-T1 (Netherlands), PIC (Spain)}, organization = {ASGC (Taiwan)}, organization = {BNL (U.S.A.)}, publisher = {Springer Nature}, keywords = {Hadron-Hadron Scattering}, keywords = {Top Physics}, title = {Search for leptonic charge asymmetry in t¯tW production in final states with three leptons at p s = 13 TeV}, doi = {10.1007/JHEP07(2023)033}, author = {Atlas Collaboration and Aguilar Saavedra, Juan Antonio and Rodríguez Chala, Mikael}, }
