abstract = {Se analizó el efecto de la quinetina y de la metionina sobre la emergencia 
radicular, el crecimiento de semillas de Phaseolus vulgaris, L. var. eagle y también 
sobre la producción de etileno. 
La quinetina ( lO-4M) y metionina ( 10-4M) promueven la germinación, pero a 
concentraciones mayores, el porcentaje de germinación es menor. El crecimiento 
radicular se incrementa al aumentar la concentración de quinetina y metionina. 
La producción· de etileno se incrementó con los tratamientos de quinetina y 
metionina en todos los materiales vegetales estudiados.},
abstract = {The effect of kinetin and methionine on radicle emergence and growth in 
Phaseolus vulgaris, L. var. eagle seeds has been studied, together with its effect on 
ethylene production. 
Concentrations 10-4M of exogenous kinetin and methionine increase germination. Concentrations of more than lO-4M results in diminished germination. 
The growth of the embryonic axis is enhanced by kinetin and methionine. The 
presence of kinetin of methionine in the germination medium al ways increased the 
rate of ethylene production for each of the vegetable materials used.},
