abstract = {Aportación a una viva polémica en Internet sobre la realidad o escenificación de la famosa foto del miliciano caído, de Capa. Siendo indudable su carácter de icono simbólico, aquí se propondrán ciertos requisitos para que una imagen fotográfica se convierta en símbolo. Para ello, se partirá de enfoques sobre lo simbólico desde la semiótica, el psicoanálisis, la iconología y la antropología visual. Un recorrido sobre las relaciones históricas entre fotos bélicas, muerte y simbología finalizará con los premios Pulitzer de fotografía. Por un análisis formal y otros argumentos, se opina que dicha magnífica foto de Capa es parte de un reportaje sobre unas maniobras propagandísticas de la CNT.},
abstract = {Contribution to a strong controversy in the Internet concerning either the authenticity or the dramatization of the Capa's famous photography of the fallen militiaman. In view of its unquestionable character of symbolic icon, some requirements are proposed here for a photograph to become a symbol, approaching the issue of symbolism from different perspectives: semiotics, psychoanalysis and iconography to visual anthropology. A journey through the historical links between war photography, death and symbolism that leads to the Pulitzer photography prize. Through formal analysis and some other arguments, it is suggested that this splendid photograph would belong to a report on propaganda tactics of the CNT.},
