The analyzed dataset is based on proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV delivered by the Large Hadron Collider and recorded by the ATLAS detector from 2015 to 2018, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1). The observed data are compatible with the expected Standard Model background. Results are interpreted in a simplified model where each bottom squark is assumed to decay into the second-lightest neutralino (chi) over tilde (0)(2) and a bottom quark, with (chi) over tilde (0)(2) decaying into a Higgs boson and the lightest neutralino (chi) over tilde1(0). The search focuses on final states where at least one Higgs boson decays into a pair of hadronically decaying t-leptons. This allows the acceptance and thus the sensitivity to be significantly improved relative to the previous results at low masses of the (chi) over tilde (0)(2), where bottom-squark masses up to 850 GeV are excluded at the 95% confidence level, assuming a mass difference of 130 GeV between (chi) over tilde (0)(2) and (chi) over tilde (0)(1). Model-independent upper limits are also set on the cross section of processes beyond the Standard Model.}, organization = {CERN}, organization = {ANPCyT}, organization = {YerPhI, Armenia}, organization = {Australian Research Council}, organization = {BMWFW}, organization = {Austrian Science Fund (FWF)}, organization = {Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS)}, organization = {SSTC, Belarus}, organization = {Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnologico (CNPQ)}, organization = {Fundacao de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Sao Paulo (FAPESP)}, organization = {Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)}, organization = {Canada Foundation for Innovation}, organization = {MOST}, organization = {National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)}, organization = {Ministry of Education, Youth & Sports - Czech Republic}, organization = {MPO CR}, organization = {Czech Republic Government}, organization = {DNRF Danish Natural Science Research Council}, organization = {Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)}, organization = {CEA-DRF/IRFU, France}, organization = {Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF)}, organization = {Max Planck Society}, organization = {Greek Ministry of Development-GSRT}, organization = {RGC and Hong Kong SAR, China}, organization = {ISF and Benoziyo Center, Israel}, organization = {Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN)}, organization = {Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT) Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT)}, organization = {Japan Society for the Promotion of Science}, organization = {CNRST, Morocco; NWO}, organization = {RCN, Norway}, organization = {Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Poland}, organization = {NCN, Poland}, organization = {Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology}, organization = {European Commission}, organization = {MNE/IFA, Romania}, organization = {Ministry of Education, Science & Technological Development, Serbia}, organization = {MSSR, Slovakia}, organization = {Slovenian Research Agency - Slovenia}, organization = {MIZS, Slovenia}, organization = {Spanish Government}, organization = {Wallenberg Foundation, Sweden}, organization = {Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)}, organization = {Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan}, organization = {Ministry of Energy & Natural Resources - Turkey}, organization = {UK Research & Innovation (UKRI)}, organization = {Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC)}, organization = {National Science Foundation (NSF)}, organization = {BCKDF}, organization = {CANARIE}, organization = {Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission}, organization = {COST, ERC}, organization = {European Commission}, organization = {Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, European Union}, organization = {French National Research Agency (ANR)}, organization = {German Research Foundation (DFG)}, organization = {European Commission}, organization = {Alexander von Humboldt Foundation}, organization = {Thales Group}, organization = {European Commission}, organization = {Greek NSRF, Greece}, organization = {German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development}, organization = {La Caixa Foundation}, organization = {CERCA Programme Generalitat de Catalunya}, organization = {PROMETEO}, organization = {Generalitat Valenciana}, organization = {Goran Gustafssons Stiftelse, Sweden}, organization = {Royal Society of London}, organization = {European Commission}, organization = {Leverhulme Trust}, organization = {NDGF (Denmark, Norway, Sweden)}, organization = {CCIN2P3 (France)}, organization = {KIT/GridKA (Germany)}, organization = {INFN-CNAF (Italy)}, organization = {NL-T1 (Netherlands), PIC (Spain)}, organization = {ASGC (Taiwan)}, organization = {RAL (UK)}, organization = {BNL (USA) 106}, publisher = {American Physical Society}, title = {Search for bottom-squark pair production in pp collision events at root s=13 TeV with hadronically decaying tau-leptons, b-jets, and missing transverse momentum using the ATLAS detector}, doi = {10.1103/PhysRevD.104.032014}, author = {Aad, G. and Aguilar Saavedra, Juan Antonio and Atlas Collaboration}, }
