abstract = {Las paradojas conocidas de Zenón de Elea parecen auténticas microficciones.
Con un relato imbatible, el autor logra demostrar, más allá de la actitud inmediata de mostrar, que es necesario aceptar algo contraevidente. Estas paradojas han sobrevivido milenios a las objeciones de filósofos, físicos y
matemáticos. Particularmente la historia de Aquiles y la tortuga fue un reto
a la polis, a la esfera mítica de la antigua Grecia; incluso una ironía, pues la
diosa Tetis no pudo venir en ayuda de su hijo Aquiles (así como Afrodita sacó
a su hijo Paris del enfrentamiento con Menelao). Una tortuga anónima (¿o la
ninfa Quelona que se burló de Zeus?) vence al héroe homérico de la Ilíada.
Pues bien, el escritor colombiano Paul Brito se deja seducir por el vértigo del
pensador de Elea y acepta la invitación que ha latido allí durante tantos siglos, mediante 101 microficciones sobre esta paradoja.},
abstract = {The well-known paradoxes of Zeno of Elea seem authentic microfictions.
With an unbeatable account, the author succeeds in demonstrating, beyond
the immediate attitude of showing, that it is necessary to accept something
counter-evident. These paradoxes have survived the objections of philosophers, physicists and mathematicians for millennia. Particularly the story of
Achilles and the tortoise was a challenge to the polis, to the mythical sphere
of ancient Greece; even an irony, for the goddess Thetis could not come to
the aid of her son Achilles (just as Aphrodite brought her son Paris out of the
confrontation with Menelaus). An anonymous turtle (or the Chelone nymph
who mocked Zeus?) defeats the Homeric hero of the Iliad. Well, the Colombian writer Paul Brito allows himself to be seduced by the vertigo of the
thinker of Elea and accepts the invitation that has been beating there for so
many centuries, through 101 microfictions on this paradox.},
