abstract = {El tabú del lenguaje está presente en nuestro día a día, pero son pocos los estudios que se han hecho hasta el momento sobre su traducción. El objetivo del presente Trabajo Fin de Grado es analizar la transferencia del tabú de la versión original a la versión subtitulada teniendo en cuenta las estrategias de traducción empleadas. Con este fin, hemos analizado los primeros cuatro capítulos de la primera temporada de Euphoria (2019), un impactante drama televisivo juvenil ofrecido por la plataforma HBO. Para ello, se elaborará un análisis de la carga pragmática, de las estrategias de traducción empleadas y del tipo de tabú utilizado en la serie. Como base teórica que fundamente el análisis de la carga pragmática, se realizará una breve contextualización del fenómeno de la traducción audiovisual, de las técnicas de traducción de subtitulado y un análisis de lo que se entiende por tabú.},
abstract = {Taboo language is present in our daily lives, but few studies have been done so far on its translation. The aim of this dissertation is to analyse the transference of taboo language from the original version to the subtitled version, taking into account the translation strategies employed. To this end, we have analysed the first four episodes of the first season of Euphoria (2019), a powerful youth television drama offered by HBO platform. For this purpose, an analysis of the pragmatic load, the translation strategies employed and the type of taboo language used in the series will be carried out. As a theoretical basis for the analysis of the pragmatic load, we will make a brief contextualisation of the phenomenon of audiovisual translation, subtitling translation techniques and an analysis of what is understood by taboo.},
