abstract = {El presente artículo es fruto de la aplicación del software matemático GeoGebra como
herramienta analítica e interpretativa en el estudio histórico de la arquitectura. En concreto, su
utilización sobre la planimetría del Palacio de Carlos V en la Alhambra de Granada ha permitido
presentar contribuciones en dos cuestiones importantes. La primera es el descubrimiento de su módulo
constructivo, lo que permitiría avalar el estrecho control de Pedro Machuca en las primeras fases de
su edificación. A este respecto describimos el módulo como el radio de la capilla y analizamos la
modulación de los elementos que componen la planta, haciéndola coherente con su diseño ad quadratum.
La segunda refiere a los condicionamientos relativos a la orientación geográfica del conjunto, donde
discutimos sobre las argumentaciones aportadas en la singular desviación respecto a la Alhambra, para
concluir que ésta viene dada por la dirección a Jerusalén, como referente doctrinal para el imperio
carolino.},
abstract = {This paper is the result of the application of GeoGebra mathematical software as an analytical
and interpretive tool in the field of the historical study of architecture. Specifically, its use on the
planimetry of the Palace of Carlos V in the Alhambra of Granada has allowed to present contributions
on two important issues: The first is the discovery of its construction module, which would allow us to
guarantee the close control of Pedro Machuca in the early phases of its construction. In this aspect, we
describe the module as the radius of the chapel and analyze the modulation of the elements that make
up the architectural plant, making this analysis coherent with its “ad quadratum” design. The second
one refers to the conditions related to the geographical orientation of the complex, where we discuss
the arguments provided in the singular deviation from the Alhambra, to conclude that this is given by
the direction to Jerusalem, as a doctrinal reference for the carolinian empire.},
