These monolithic structures were tested at room temperature for the nitrate elimination of water solutions working as a batch monolithic bioreactor and showed very good results, as 100% of the nitrates and nitrites were completely removed in the used experimental conditions. Di erent rate flows of bacteria growth and nitrate elimination were studied, showing that the higher the flow velocity, the faster the nitrate elimination. Finally, the reproducibility tests confirmed the good performance of the proposed bioreactor.}, organization = {Junta de Andalucía P18-RTJ-2974 RNM172}, organization = {Generalitat Valenciana APOSTD/2019/030}, publisher = {MDPI}, keywords = {Carbon-coated monoliths}, keywords = {Bacteria}, keywords = {Water treatments}, keywords = {Nitrate removal}, title = {Bacteria Supported on Carbon-Coated Monoliths for Water Denitrification}, doi = {10.3390/c6040077}, author = {Espinosa Iglesias, David and Bailón García, Esther and Bautista Toledo, María Isidora and Carrasco Marín, Francisco and Pérez Cadenas, Agustín Francisco}, }
