Detailed uncertainties due to the flux prediction, neutrino interaction model, and detector effects are included. DUNE will resolve the neutrino mass ordering to a precision of 5σ, for all δCP values, after 2 years of running with the nominal detector design and beam configuration. It has the potential to observe charge-parity violation in the neutrino sector to a precision of 3σ (5σ) after an exposure of 5 (10) years, for 50% of all δCP values. It will also make precise measurements of other parameters governing long-baseline neutrino oscillation, and after an exposure of 15 years will achieve a similar sensitivity to sin22θ13 to current reactor experiments.}, organization = {Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA) DE-AC02-07CH11359}, organization = {National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq)}, organization = {Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ)}, organization = {FAPEG, Brazil}, organization = {Fundacao de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Sao Paulo (FAPESP)}, organization = {Canada Foundation for Innovation}, organization = {IPP, Canada}, organization = {Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)}, organization = {CERN}, organization = {Ministry of Education, Youth & Sports - Czech Republic Czech Republic Government}, organization = {European Union (EU)}, organization = {Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)}, organization = {French Atomic Energy Commission}, organization = {Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN)}, organization = {Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology}, organization = {NRF, South Korea}, organization = {CAM, Spain}, organization = {La Caixa Foundation}, organization = {Spanish Government}, organization = {SERI, Switzerland}, organization = {Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)}, organization = {Turkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu (TUBITAK)}, organization = {Royal Society of London}, organization = {UKRI/STFC, UK}, organization = {United States Department of Energy (DOE)}, organization = {National Science Foundation (NSF)}, organization = {National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science User Facility DE-AC02-05CH11231}, publisher = {SPRINGER}, title = {Long-baseline neutrino oscillation physics potential of the DUNE experiment}, doi = {10.1140/epjc/s10052-020-08456-z}, author = {García Gámez, Diego and Dune Collaboration and Arias Zamorano, Belén}, }
