abstract = {he significance of the Greek Revolution (1821-1830) in the historiography of the Eastern Question (1821-1923) manifests itself in the appearance of a Philhellene thought in the European collective imagination. Thereby, the Philhellenism came to be a subject of public opinion which allowed its materialisation as a mass cultural product. The aim of this research consists on analyze historiographically the Greek War of Independence as a cultural form of leisure and entertainment in the Spain of the first half of the 19th century. With the location of several theatrical plays between 1840 and 1849, it is proposed a study about the Philhellene dramatic literature that addresses various issues, that is, the reasons of the cultural and entertainment industry to adopt this topic in the scenic representation, its character and diffusion, the creation of states of opinion or the assimilation of their ideological contents.},
abstract = {La importancia de la Revolución griega (1821-1830) en la historiografía de la Cuestión de Oriente (1821-1923) se manifiesta en la aparición de una corriente filohelénica muy arraigada en el imaginario colectivo europeo. De este modo, el filohelenismo se consolidó como un tema de opinión pública que permitió su materialización en un producto cultural de masas. El objetivo de la presente investigación consiste en analizar historiográficamente la guerra de la Independencia griega como elemento cultural de ocio y entretenimiento en la España de la primera mitad del siglo XIX. A través de la localización de varias obras teatrales comprendidas entre 1840 y 1849, se plantea un estudio sobre la literatura dramática filohelena que abarque diversas cuestiones, a saber, las razones de la industria cultural y de ocio para adoptar dicha temática en la representación escénica, su carácter y difusión, la creación de estados de opinión o la asimilación de sus contenidos ideológicos.},
