abstract = {We are going to check some points concerning mail art: its origins and continuity, the main features from the point of view of communication, and also movements and artists that have worked it. 
When we talk about this art we are talking about a free and multidisciplinary art. The definition of Mail Art as "envelope-art” is an art that goes beyond not only because it travels in the physical space towards an addressee, but because it breaks definitions and limits that are related to the art commercialization, styles, gender, property ....

The documentation for this work can be found on the website merzmail.net, running by Pere Sousa who is the creator of the publication "P.O.BOX". He is the “guide mark” of Mail Art in Spain, as the main character of the interview that we have done. And Boek861.com de Cesar Reglero.
We also have checked information about "mail art" by Antonio Gómez and Ángel Sanz, who provide materials and diverse experiences that link Mail Art to experimental poetry. From the Seminar “Palabra y Arte” from the University of Granada (Research Group Hum-611 "New Materials for Contemporary Art) we can find courses, official announcements and exhibitions that try to promote and continue the artistic manifestations  characterized by the interrelation of visual language and literature.

Revisamos algunos aspectos del arte postal: sus orígenes y continuidad, las características principales desde el punto de vista de la comunicación, y movimientos y artistas que lo han trabajado.  Se incide en su carácter libre, multidisciplinar, y en la definición del Arte Postal como “sobre-arte”, un arte que va más allá no sólo porque viaja en el espacio físico hacia un destinatario, sino porque supera definiciones y límites; aquellos que tienen que ver con la comercialización del arte, los estilos, el género, la propiedad.... 

La documentación para este trabajo parte del portal de Internet merzmail.net, dirigido por Pere Sousa, creador de la publicación “P.O.BOX”, referente del Arte Postal en España, así como de la entrevista que le hemos realizado, y de Boek861.com, de Cesar Reglero. También, revisamos información sobre “mail art” de la mano de Antonio Gómez y de Ángel Sanz, quienes aportan material y experiencias diversas que vinculan el Arte Postal a la poesía experimental. Desde el Seminario Palabra y Arte de la Universidad de Granada (Grupo de Investigación Hum-611 “Nuevos Materiales para el Arte Contemporáneo) se organizan cursos, convocatorias y exposiciones que pretenden difundir y dar continuidad a manifestaciones artísticas caracterizadas por la interrelación del lenguaje plástico y literario.},
