abstract = {La presente investigación se centra en la arquitectura tradicional y el paisaje cultural en contexto de montaña, considerando la región oriental del Atlas marroquí. Integra territorios bastante diferenciados, desde los valles pré-saharianos y del grande oásis de Tafilalt, hasta los poblados fortificados del Alto Atlas Oriental y de las aldeas del Medio Atlas. En la primera parte, serán identificadas y descritas diferentes tipologías de la arquitectura doméstica a través de ejemplos de casas levantadas en las diversas (sub)unidades de paisaje. En la segunda parte, se propondrá un cuadro o marco tipológico de síntesis de la vivienda para el área objeto de estudio, buscando interpretar esa diversidad a la luz de las características del territorio y de algunos de los temas de la cultura y de la historia que resultaron en diferentes modelos de ocupación del territorio.},
abstract = {This research project focuses on traditional architecture and landscape in the mountain context, considering the eastern region of the Atlas in Morocco. The study area integrates territories with diverse characteristics, from the pre-Saharan valleys and the impressive oasis of Tafilalt, to the fortified settlements of the Eastern High Atlas and the villages of the Middle Atlas. This paper is organized in two different parts. In the first one, various typologies of the domestic architecture will be described through specific case studies located in different landscape units. In the second part, a typological framework will be proposed for the study area, seeking to interpret the diversity of traditional architecture considering the characteristics of the territory as well as cultural and historical aspects relevant to the occupation patterns of the territory.},
