abstract = {En algunas de las propuestas de su tesis doctoral, Encarnación Castro explora patrones numéricos mediante configuraciones puntuales (Castro, 1995). En una de las fases de su investigación, plantea a los estudiantes tareas de estudio de representaciones de números utilizando puntos, para posteriormente investigar los patrones que aparecían. El diseño del código Braille permite contextualizar en una situación escolar la invención y búsqueda de patrones en configuraciones puntuales, ya que en este alfabeto para personas ciegas cobra una especial relevancia. Siguiendo el estudio realizado por Encarnación Castro hemos propuesto a los alumnos de Estalmat que inventen sus propios patrones para representar los dígitos en el código Braille y en este trabajo estudiamos los argumentos utilizados para esta organización.},
abstract = {In some of the proposals from her doctoral dissertation, Encarnación Castro explores numerical patterns employing dots configurations (Castro, 1995). In one of the steps of her investigation, she proposes to her students the study of number representations using dots, for subsequent analysis of the resultant patterns. Braille code allows putting into context the design and search for patterns employing dots configurations in academic situations, due to the special importance of this alphabet for blind people. Following the study of Encarnación Castro, we have proposed our Estalmat students to devise their own patterns in order to represent the Braille digits, and in this work we study the reasoning behind these patterns.},
