abstract = {El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar los distintos términos que se utilizan en
Andalucía para designar el concepto ‘rocío’, a partir del análisis del mapa 1514 del
ALEA. Para ello, he tenido en cuenta la etimología, la motivación del significante, las
variantes léxicas y fonéticas, la difusión de cada palabra en las distintas zonas, así
como la aparición de estos términos en otros atlas lingüísticos. Tras este trabajo se
demuestra que a la variedad léxica de Andalucía contribuyen decisivamente los aportes
históricos que confluyeron en la región, por un lado, y los posteriores contactos y
relaciones desarrollados por los andaluces con sus diferentes vecinos, por otro. Como
consecuencia de la distinta época de ocupación de las zonas andaluzas, podemos
establecer en nuestro mapa una división entre Andalucía occidental (blandura, blanda)
y Andalucía oriental (relente, relentada); además deben destacarse los orientalismos
rojío y boria en el noroeste y norte de Almería y el portuguesismo arballada en el norte
de Huelva.},
abstract = {The aim of this paper is to study the different words used in Andalusia to name the
concept ‘rocío’, trough the analysis of the ALEA map number 1514. I have considered
the etymology, the motivation of the signifier, the lexical and phonetic variants, the
distribution of each word in different areas, as well as the existence of these words in
other linguistic atlases. This study shows that the historical occupation and later
contacts and relations between Andalusians and their neighbours contributed in a
decisive way to lexical variation in Andalusia. As a consequence of the different periods
of occupation in the Andalusian areas, a division between west Andalusia (blandura,
blanda) and east Andalusia (relente, relentada) can be established in the map;
furthermore the words of an oriental origin rojío and boria in the Northeast of Almería
and the Lusism arballada in the North of Huelva should be highlighted.},
