abstract = {Desde un punto de vista histórico, la Vega de Granada es muy apreciada por todas las sociedades que
la han visitado o vivido en ella. Asimismo, desde la
Antigüedad hasta hoy, éste ha sido un enclave históricamente estratégico fruto de múltiples disputas
entre culturas, aunque actualmente algunos de los
elementos patrimoniales más representativos que
lo corroboran han sido descuidados u olvidados. Es
más, muchos han desaparecido por completo. Un
caso de alarmante peligro de este tipo de pérdida de
identidad patrimonial es la torre de Romilla, la cual se
encuentra enclavada en el mismo corazón de la vega
granadina junto al río Genil. A partir de este objeto de
gran valor simbólico, intentaremos describir el resto
elementos culturales e identitarios relacionados con
esta torre de origen nazarí y el impacto que tiene en
el propio paisaje de la vega.},
abstract = {From a historical point of view, the Vega de Granada
has been appreciated by all societies that have visited
or lived there. From antiquity until today, it has been
a historically significant enclave, home to multiple intercultural disputes. Currently, however, some of its
most important patrimonial elements have been neglected, forgotten, or have disappeared entirely. One
case of such dangerous loss of patrimonial identity is
the tower of Romilla, situated in the Vega of Granada
next to the Genil river. We will attempt to describe
a variety of cultural elements that are connected to
this Nasrid tower as well as the tower’s impact on the
landscape of the Vega of Granada.},
