abstract = {El presente artículo desvela que el paradero actual, hasta hoy desconocido, de un artesonado renacentista de los salones nobles del castillo de Vélez Blanco (España) es el Instituto Cultural Helénico en Ciudad de México. Para la consecución de este hallazgo ha sido necesario realizar un estudio histórico-documental que ha permitido seguir su rastro entre las distintas colecciones y localizaciones en las que estuvo instalado o almacenado: París, New York y México DF. Esta investigación también resuelve mediante el uso de nuevas tecnologías y el análisis de datos arqueológicos cómo era el artesonado original y en qué estancias del castillo estuvo instalado.},
abstract = {This paper reveals that the hitherto unknown location of a Renaissance ceiling from the Castle of Vélez Blanco in Spain is the Hellenic Institute in Mexico City. This discovery is the result of a documented historical study investigating the various locations in which the ceiling was installed or stored after leaving Spain, from Paris to New York and finally Mexico City. Using techniques of photogrammetric restitution to analyze archaeological data, the author has been able to determine the characteristics of the original ceiling and in which rooms of Velez Castle it was originally installed.},
