abstract = {La dispersión y su medida son ideas fundamentales en educación estadística y se recomienda incluirlas en los currículos en todo el mundo. Estas ideas permean todo el currículo y son necesaria para comprender otras. Por ejemplo, para caracterizar una distribución de datos, las medidas de centro se deben de complementar con las de dispersión e interpretarse de forma conjunta. Además son esenciales para comprender las distribuciones de probabilidad y de datos bivariantes y necesarias también para el estudio de la inferencia estadística, teniendo en cuenta las distribuciones muestrales de los estadísticos. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la riqueza que tiene el concepto de dispersión en el currículo mexicano, así como la progresión desde la educación secundaria obligatoria al bachillerato, utilizando para ello los significados de los objetos propuestos en el enfoque onto-semiótico (EOS).},

These ideas permeate the entire curriculum and are necessary to understand others. For example, in order to characterize a data distribution, the center measures must be complemented with those of dispersion and be interpreted jointly. They are also essential to understand probability and bivariate data distributions and are necessary for the study of statistical inference, when taking into account the sample distributions of the statistics. The aim of this paper is to analyze the richness of the concept of dispersion in the Mexican curriculum, as well as the progression from secondary to high school tertiary education level, using the meanings of the proposed objects in the onto-semiotic approach (OSA).},
