abstract = {Leer e interpretar gráficas es parte de los contenidos curriculares en educación preescolar (3-5 años de edad, México), lo cual implica que los docentes de este nivel deben tener un conocimiento matemático y estadístico necesario para ello. El estudio, aquí reportado, tiene como objetivo identificar el conocimiento que tienen las profesoras y las futuras profesoras de preescolar para leer gráficas. En la investigación participaron 20 profesoras en servicio y 90 estudiantes para profesoras de preescolar, a quienes se les pidió dar respuesta a cuatro preguntas a partir de una gráfica de barras, la cual representa el tamaño de diferentes gatos. Los resultados muestran que la mayor parte de las participantes, aun cuando han asistido a cursos de estadística, tienen dificultad para extraer información de la gráfica debido a la falta de conocimiento matemático y estadístico.},
abstract = {Reading and interpreting graphs is part of the curricular contents in preschool (3-5 years of age, Mexico), which implies that teachers of this level education must have a knowledge mathematical and statistical to do so. The objective of the study reported here is to identify the knowledge that teachers and future teachers in preschool have to read bars graphs. The research involved 20 teachers preschool and 90 students for preschool teachers, who were asked to answer four questions from a bar graph, which represents the size of different cats. The results show that most of the participants have difficulty extracting information from the graph due to the lack of mathematical and statistical, even though they have attended courses in statistics.},
