abstract = {El objetivo del estudio es revisar literatura sobre el cálculo mental de la comunidad gitana para identificar sus similitudes con los algoritmos ABN. El fin es avalar la adopción de los algoritmos ABN en centros con alta afluencia de niños de esta minoría, como es el caso de algunos centros de la provincia de Córdoba que empieza a trabajar con esta metodología. Los gitanos  tienden a descomponer los números en factores, a utilizar las propiedades de las operaciones y a separar los decimales de la parte entera, todas técnicas que se adoptan también en los algoritmos ABN. Entonces la introducción de estos en las escuelas es una oportunidad revalorizar el conocimiento informal gitano e integrarlo con los aprendizajes formales},
