abstract = {Las dramatizaciones de “moros y cristianos”, muy arraigadas en la cultura popular
hispana, conservan una presencia importante precisamente en la zona (la Alpujarra)
donde se libró la guerra de los moriscos, último episodio de seculares enfrentamientos
entre el Islam y la Cristiandad en la Península Ibérica. Este trabajo parte de los actuales
textos alpujarreños usados en la representación, y se propone analizar la estructura
semántica subyacente, sin perder de vista el contexto histórico, y poner de manifiesto la
función social legitimadora que tales dramatizaciones cumplen, así como el esquema
ideológico de negación del otro, que obstaculiza el diálogo de civilizaciones.},
abstract = {Representations of Moors and Christians have very deep roots in the popular hispanic
culture and remain alive in the Alpujarra (Granada). The Alpujarra is the last place of the
secular confrontations between Islam and Christianity in Spain. This anthropological
study analyses the semantic structure of the different representations in the actual texts
and documents from the Alpujarra. The study, starting from the historic context, looks at
the social functions of legitimation of this dramatic representations. Specially it analyses
the ideological scheme of Negation of the Other and its negative implications for the
dialogue of Civilisations.},
