abstract = {Al cumplirse treinta años de la pandemia del SIDA deberíamos reflexionar sobre la estrategia mundial
seguida por la comunidad internacional, donde se prioriza principalmente la estrategia del tratamiento
universal con antirretrovirales – juiciosa en países con un sistema sanitario suficientemente implantado y
con recursos humanos adecuados - pero cuestionable para países sin dicha situación estructural, pero que
está distrayendo recursos para abordar otras acciones esenciales más eficientes y menos complejas –
transmisión vertical - y porque los fondos para programas de prevención representan el porcentaje más
pequeño de las partidas destinadas a la lucha. Se hace imperioso relanzar, con muchos más recursos
públicos, la investigación de una vacuna como prioridad irrenunciable.},
abstract = {At the thirtieth anniversary of the AIDS pandemic a comment on the global strategy followed by the
International Community is necessary: this strategy mainly prioritizes the universal antiretroviral treatment
- appropriate in countries with a health system sufficiently implemented and with adequate human resources
- but questionable for countries without such structural health system. This situation is diverting resources to
address other essential actions more efficient - mother to child transmission - and the funds for prevention
programs represent the smallest percentage. It is imperative to re-launch, with more public resources a
vaccine research as a priority.},
