abstract = {A partir de los 60 años de edad la aparición de anemia de origen incierto es algo muy frecuente en la
población anciana. Por lo pronto, a nivel medular hay una tendencia a la aparición de sustancia grasa que
sustituye al tejido habitual. En segundo lugar está demostrado que la capacidad de respuesta de la médula
se atenúa y la presencia de algún tipo de neoplasias es más frecuente a partir de esta edad. Ello lleva a la
aparición de algún tipo de trastorno en el sistema hematopoyético. El objetivo de esta revisión es analizar
las causas más frecuentes de anemia en el anciano y revisar los posibles tratamientos.},
abstract = {Anemia of uncertain origin is very common in the elderly population. In bone marrow there is a tendency to
the appearance of fatty substance that replaces the normal tissue. Second is shown that the
responsiveness of the bone marrow is attenuated and the presence of any malignancy is more common
after this age. This leads to the appearance of some kind of disruption in the hematopoietic system. The
objective of this review is to analyze the most common causes of anemia in the elderly and review the
possible treatments.},
