abstract = {Se presentan en este trabajo algunas consideraciones generales acerca de las conexiones entre Diplomática y Sigilografía.
Suficientemente conocido el concepto y contenido de ambas disciplinas es ocioso plantear cual de las dos ostenta la supremacia,
antes bien conviene abundar en la importancia del sello para el diplomatista, qué aportan los sellos al documento diplomático,
su función autenticadora, forma de detectar la autenticidad sigilar, falsificaciones y fraudes, aposición de los sellos, etc. Termina
estas consideraciones con una desiderata: llamar la atención de los estudiosos e investigadores hacía la consideración de los
aspectos sigilográficos que brindan las fuentes documentales.},
abstract = {On preésente dans ce travail des considérations genérales sur les conexions entre Diplomatique et Sigillographe. Étant donné
que le concept et le contenu de ces disciplines sont bien connus, il est inutile d’établir laquelle des deux possède la suprématie,
et ce qu’apportent les sceaux au documment diplomatique, leur fonction légalisatrice, manière de détecter l’authenticité
sigillaire, falsifications et fraudes, apposition des sceaux, etc. Ces considérations s’achèvent sur une desiderata: attirer l’attention
des spécialistes et chercheurs sur la considération des aspects sigillographiques qu’offrent les sources documentaires.},
abstract = {This article presents some general considerations about the affinities between Diplomatics and Sigilography. Since both the
concept and the content of both disciplines are well known it would be beside the point to discuss which of the two holds the
upper hand. Nevertheless, it seems fitting to dwell on the importance of the seal for the diplomatist, their authenticating
function, means of detecting their authenticity, fakes and frauds, seal apposition, etc. These considerations end with a
desideratum: call the attention of scholars and researchers to the consideration of the seal-related aspects which documentary
sources afford us.},
