abstract = {Este artículo aborda las obras de restauración arquitectónica de Luis Menéndez-Pidal en Asturias. Nacido en Pajares (Asturias) este arquitecto dedicó a su Asturias natal lo mejor de sus esfuerzos. Se abordan las actuaciones más destacadas en este territorio, como fueron, antes de la Guerra Civil, la restauración de Santa María del Naranco. Y tras ella, ya nombrado como arquitecto de la 1ª Zona, las restauraciones del prerrománico asturiano, de la catedral de Oviedo, y de tantas iglesias populares románicas que tuvieron en Menéndez-Pidal un auténtico salvador para que sus restos no pasaran a considerarse ruinas y se mantuvieran para las siguientes generaciones.},
