abstract = {En este artículo se expone una vision general de los juicios que ha merecido la Historia General de España (1850-1866) de Modesto Lafuente. Se trata, en primer lugar, de un intento de sistematizar las distintas versiones a las que, desde el momento
mismo de su publicación, ha dado lugar esta obra entre los historiadores, teniendo
como hilo conductor su carácter en cuanto discurso histórico del nacionalismo español
del siglo XIX y el distinto grado de reconocimiento del que ha sido objeto; y, en
segundo término, se pretende poner de relieve los aspectos institucionales —la oficialidad—
de la obra en sí.},
abstract = {In this article an overview opinion has been exposed with reference to the Historia General de España of Modesto Lafuente. In the first place it attempt to discuss and systematize the different arguments that, from the moment of its publication,
this work gave rise among historians, the core of which being its historical character
of Spanish nationalism of the XIX century and the different degrees of recognition to
which it has been subjected; and in second place, an attempt has been made to
highlight the institutional aspects —the officialyty— of the work in itself.},
