This self-ethnographic process is an invitation to question the categories and the practices of research emerging from the western-eye perception. This decolonizing deconstruction involved a passage, which has revealed my initial ethnocentric biases and, at the same time, has located me in the mirror game of the fieldwork as a woman and as a mapuche. In the encounter with the others, whom I consider my “us” as well, I have re-signified the otherness. This allowed me to recover the conscience of my people, as well as the language, the countermemories and the struggles of mapuche’s nation-people and mapuche’s women. In line with this, as a situated attempt of feminist decolonization and along with the wisdom and the generosity of my partners, brothers and sisters, of this self-ethnographic trip, we have been discussing about the categories of women, mapuche and urban, through the dissertation of the complicated issue of abortion. Firstly because, given the anti-abortion context of Chilean State (which criminalizes abortion in all its forms by building its experience as a trauma) and the pro-motherhood background of mapuche people (which stigmatizes abortion practices as a result of colonization). Secondly, assuming that what is personal is political and theoretical as well, and that body, culture and city are the fields of dispute between colonization and resistance, the fact of discussing about diverse perspectives of abortion enables us to break the monolithic, heteropatriarcal and colonialist images of the categories in question. Eventually, because abortion allows to debate and propose collective solutions to the dilemma that stands between the defence of our people (collective rights) and the one of our rights as women (individual rights), from a horizon of decolonization in general and of womb in particular. Hence, I propose to incorporate the demand for self-determination in the sovereign territory of the body, through the vindication of the right to solve the way our female ancestors used to (with abortive herbs). This would imply recovering our sovereignty (suspended by the hegemonic powers) and emerging as a corporal practice of resistance anti-heteropatriarcal and anti-colonialist.}, organization = {Máster Erasmus Mundus en Estudios de las Mujeres y de Género, GEMMA. 4ª ed.}, keywords = {Descolonización del feminismo}, keywords = {Aborto}, keywords = {Pueblo Mapuche}, keywords = {Deconstucción de categorías: mujer, mapuche y urbana}, title = {Petu mongenleiñ, petu mapuchengen.
